The Book of Psalms, Chapter 123, Verse 3

Behold, as the eyes of servants [look] unto the hand of their masters, [and] as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes [wait] upon the LORD our God, until that he have mercy upon us.
King James Version
Have mercy upon us, O LORD, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.
American Standard Version
Have mercy upon us, O Jehovah, have mercy upon us; For we are exceedingly filled with contempt.
New English Translation
Show us favor, O LORD, show us favor! For we have had our fill of humiliation, and then some.
World English Bible
Have mercy on us, Yahweh, have mercy on us, for we have endured much contempt.

Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, [and] with the contempt of the proud.

A Song of degrees of David. If [it had not been] the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;
2
If [it had not been] the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us:
3
Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:
4
Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:
5
Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.
6
Blessed [be] the LORD, who hath not given us [as] a prey to their teeth.
7
Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.
8
Our help [is] in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

A Song of degrees. They that trust in the LORD [shall be] as mount Zion, [which] cannot be removed, [but] abideth for ever.
