And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, ‹Go, and do thou likewise.›

Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
American Standard Version
Now as they went on their way, he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.

and forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And do not lead us into temptation.”

And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.

But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.

And Jesus answered and said unto her, ‹Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:›

‹But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.›

And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

And he said unto them, ‹When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.›

‹Give us day by day our daily bread.›

‹And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.›

And he said unto them, ‹Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves;›
6
‹For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him?›
